Cliff Asness, Founder, Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer at AQR Capital Management, was honored by the Greenwich Public Library with the 2020 Petersen Business Award. Cliff was recognized for his innovation in the field of quantitative finance and profound impact on the investment management industry.
He was presented with the honor at the at the Peterson Business Award Dinner on March 5 by Jonathan Beinner, former Fixed Income Chief Investment Officer of Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Previous Peterson Business Award recipients have included some of the country’s most prominent corporate leaders, including Louis V. Gerstner, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IBM; Sanford I. Weill, Chairman of Citigroup; and, William B. Harrison, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JP Morgan Chase.
The Peterson Business Award was established in 1997 by the Greenwich Library and the Peterson Foundation to “recognize and honor an individual whose innovative thinking, leadership, and sustained record of achievement has had a profound impact on the national and global economy, and whose words and deeds have demonstrated a commitment to intellectual freedom and open access to information.” Learn more about the award here.
